As announced I searched for "My Antonia (1995), rating 5, boy in bibs, and checked most of this movie believing that it's that one. Aka Antonia's Line. Rated R.

I'm not sure about the setting. At least after WWII, 50s or 60s. I think covering the 1950s until maybe the 90s. Also kids (boys in shorts) acting at the end, but none in bibs.

Many other farm contents but very few bibs scenes. I don't like this movie. I wonder why this won an Oscar. Just because of the actors?

Story 44: Kidsongs 2

 

One more update and story entry of Kidsongs. I searched for some clips to check if I should buy more DVDs. Country Sing-Along (rating 8) is currently completely on YouTube (official channel).  Also interesting: "I Can Do It" with (teen) boys and girl in swim wear and "If We Could Talk to the Animals" showing the blond boy (Kyle ?) from Country Sing-Along here younger and with a bowl cut. He also had spiked hair in a different episode, see "Kidsongs Trailer".

Pics 1+3 showing "Meet the Biggles" girls in blue and pink shortalls. Also funny how the boy touching her hips. Pic 2 1 is from "Billy's Birthday", sitting on bed (see also lists sitting in bibs and In bibs on bed, tagged lists.) There is also a girl in yellow shortalls. I also like the colorful shortalls of the blond girl on pic 4 from "I Can Do It". Some YouTube clips won't work in some countries. Some few more clips on the official website. There's also a girl in colorful bibs (full length).

The other boy from Country Sing-Along appeared in earlier episodes but I haven't seen any other scenes with him in bibs. I don't like hickory-striped bibs ("Boppin With the Biggles"), so I currently don't buy any more until I'm sure of perfect scenes, so I will occasionally check YouTube.

Some songs are quite catchy, but no wonder of previously well known songs and famous nursery rhymes. Though some cute different kids and good choreography. But rather few boys and even fewer teen boys.

Emmy Award. 1918 novel by Willa Cather. Also starring Jason Robards and others. Set in Nebraska in the late 1890s.

I have to check this again later. Rating 5 for now. Riding scenes but probably not in bibs (?)

I also found Antonia (1995) starring Willeke van Ammelrooy (good farm content young women and men in bibs, coming soon, rating 3-4). There are some RC0 DVDs but maybe VHS or TV rips.

Update: I have briefly checked the movie. Nice historical clothes and 1890s Western setting, but I noticed very few and brief bibs scenes, and mainly in the background.

The only bibs film I found during Christmas (which I don't already had). I found it by coincidence and haven't seen it completely.

But it's quite rare for a German woman wearing bibs in the 80s, maybe she did farm chores? Also note the short hair and the quite unusual color of the bibs. Rear view is better.

Rating 2-3. I prefer younger actors/actresses. Some episodes are on DVD, but probably not this one. Sitting scenes, but don't know of good scenes. No IMDb entry.

I also have finally seen and updated Superman II (1980), no new pics. Rating now (7)-8 instead of 10 (boy, men).

Update: Also a man in bibs, looks like Hans Kraus, probably in the 1985 episode #48 "Der Onkel Pepi". But if I remember it correctly just working bibs. So still not more than rating 2.

I don't believe that there are any other snow pants in the 80s. There is another one short scene of older teens in winter jackets a bit later, but I think they are wearing (regular ?) jeans.

Had been aired today (rebroadcasting tonight). I have also seen the sequel which is much worse and doesn't have bibs at all (but I only checked that at high speed).

Also a good bedroom of the main character Billy (Zach Galligan), soon on my other blog.

Very good movie and plot.

Had been aired some days ago. But I missed some parts of it. The good thing is: this movie almost has it all: Lots of actors (elves who work for Santa) in bibs, snow bibs, Lederhosen style pants with H-style suspenders and I think sailor collars or at least sailor looking clothes. But I don't like at all these kind of Christmas movies and these costumes.

Most bibs are probably just aprons.

But I think at least some snow bibs. I think the white bibs on pic 2, a little kid in dark red bibs (pic 3 below) and an older teen boy or whatever in dark (brown ?) bibs.

There are also some kids in regular jeans clothes and also a quite good bedroom scene of a girl. Also starring ~15 yo Eric Lloyd (nominated for a Young Artist Award).

Rating 2-3. There are a lot better Christmas and bibs movies.

-Comment: At least Marcus D'Amico in tight (or small) blue bibs, maybe Osh-Kosh (pictured). American-British boy, born in Germany. Scene at 56 minutes (123 min. uncut version). I think 3 older men in bibs, same scene and at at 19 min. One in beige bibs, rest in blue. Also quite good with a belt.

Taken from the dungaree movies blog (Felix rated 6). First I rated 10 (although few scene(s)) and after buying the DVD I now rate 7-8. (I wonder why he sometimes has a completely different rating. Just because of few scenes? Handsome actors, good bibs (incl. rear view), good movie makes a very high rating for me, but I have to check it. Thanks very much for this finding and the pics. But I need moving scenes on DVD.)

Generally I don't like too tight bibs. There are different DVD and Blu-ray versions and also box sets, but I decided to just buy the simple DVD. I read that the image quality is quite bad on each of them as the movie hadn't been remastered unlike the 1st one. I don't assume more bibs scenes in other movie versions or extras (please comment if there are).

Of course I know Superman movies but haven't seen them for many years and didn't expect/remember bibs scenes in there. Most scenes had been shot in 1977, others in 1979 or 1980, but I doubt that he was 15.

The image quality of this DVD is better than thought (at least for the bibs scenes).

Update: Now I give rating (7-)8 instead of 10. 3 short scenes, in fact it's one scene (interrupted by other scenes), walking like pictured and also one good rear view standing. Front view only from a distance. I don't like too tight bibs, but it's quite rare and not so bad either. It's hard to rate. Some of my 8 rating entries I like more or watch more often, but also have few /few good scenes, other 8 rating entries are maybe worse. But I like US actors and farmers, so I give rating 8.

I own the 1st German 2001 DVD, widescreen, German audio is mono, English 2.0, several subtitles. No notable extras.

Story 42: Laundry line

A quite interesting scene of Mary-Ellen Walton (season 1) in bibs and two pair of bibs on the clothesline behind her. The one one the left is dark (maybe from her dad or Ben, the other one probably from John-Boy. The bibs of Mary-Ellen are much better. Heavy worn dark blue farm bibs. See also other scenes of her in these bibs in season 1 (blog search Waltons). Sometimes she wore dresses, but prefer wearing overalls. I think she had to wear dresses on some occasions (like going to school or church).

There are other movies with bibs on clotheslines, but the only one I remember right now is "The Sullivans (1944)". B&w movie with 5 brothers in bibs.  I somewehere have a pic, but have to search for it.

I like this movie, but I don't watch it often but checked it recently for my bedroom blog. Sadly rather few bibs scenes mainly at the beginning and end. And I don't remember scenes of his back.

I found this during research for my bedroom blog. I have seen this series some years ago but don't remember all scenes. So I have to check it again completely.

Somehow I don't like this Enid Blyton series. However good bibs/actress. Also see "The Enid Blyton Secret Series" (rating 7 girl, boy in baggy bibs) and The Famous Five (1978) ,rating, 4 girl and also soon some entries on my bedroom blog.

Rating 7-8 for now.

First pic showing a young girl in shortalls in series Baywatch (rating 3) in I think s4e16 or around that (previously entry was just an older teen boy/young man). Very brief flashback scene about a girl who fell in the water from a boat and died.

2nd pic I found during research for my bedroom blog. Home Improvement (rating 6) I think s1e3. A young women of the Tool Time crew. Is that Sherry Hursey as Ilene? I only noticed this brief scene also rear view with a leather belt.

-Comment: One black maybe Jamaician boy in yellow bibs (2 brief scenes, one sitting at a stand and the one pictured, front and back, but bibs not shown completely) and also in purple bibs at a soap box race (also falling to the ground). Also a Jamacian man in dark blue or similar bibs (maybe Doug E. Doug). But I also son't like these bibs. Maybe there are grown-ups in snow bibs, but due to jackets I can't be say for sure. Also other winter wear like tight bobsled suits and I think non-jeans coveralls. I had to watch this at highspeed, so it's possible that I missed some background actors or other short scenes, but probably nothing more of interest.

The other Disney movie from last Sunday.

The dark yellow bibs are quite interesting but I don't like this Disney movie at all. Maybe one of the worst Disney film ever. Rated PG.

Had been aired today (on a "Disney day" of that channel, another movie with a boy coming next). I don't like at all Hannah Montana and these kind of girls and musical movies. But the few farm scenes are quite good and funny. Also starring Billy Ray Cyrus, Emily Osment and many others (teens). But I haven't noticed any others in bibs.

I didn't even expect bibs scenes here, but by coincidence I found a pic yesterday of a video game with her in bibs during research for my new 3rd bedroom blog. I also found other interesting movies and I hope you also like my new blog.

Rating 4-5 for the bibs scenes, rating 2 for the movie.

Info 194: Too much spam, commenting

Usually I had about 5-10 spam comments every day on each of my blogs. Almost 8000 (this blog only) since blogging 9 months ago on WordPress. The last days I had more than 130 a day (from just 2 different IP ranges) and very few on my other blogs.  Not including the "I Like" referrer spam. I could turn the "I like" off, but I didn't do it for now. But please don't click on every other blog gravatars.

There is no captcha function on Wordpress, so I decided to limit the commenting. You now have to type your name and email address.

If you want to comment anonymously you can either post anywhere on one of my other Wordpress blogs or on my old blogspot blogs. I will copy it to this blog if necessary and if you want to.

The commenting on Wordpress was never anonymously as the blog owner gets the IP, the mail address and sometimes the homepage of the person unless people using tools or proxies.

I don't know/don't remember this movie. To me it looks like a typical high school movie. But bibs and actress could be worse. One a widescreen clip I can only see the straps of the blue bibs scene. I don't know of any good scenes of the complete bibs (or rear view). Maybe there are even more actresses in bibs. But I assume few (good) scenes.

Rating 4 for now. I have to check this again later the next broadcasting.
